The research project on “Muslim Women’s Migration and the Unrest in the Three Southernmost Provinces” ( M&M) was funded by the Thai government after being reviewed by The National Research Council of Thailand in October 2013.

The research project on “Muslim Women’s Migration and the Unrest in the Three Southernmost Provinces” ( M&M) was funded by the Thai government after being reviewed by The National Research Council of  Thailand in October 2013.  After the research instruments were drafted,  Dr. Aree Jampaklay, Prof. Aphichat Chamratrithirong, Dr.Kathleen Ford and the Research Team went to Pattani to carry out the pretest during 5-8 March, 2014.  The fieldwork will start at the end of March when the data will be collected in 20 villages and 10 urban sites in all of the districts in the three Southernmost provinces.   Collaboration with local research team and local communities is the most important factor on the success of this project.
